TAG

You know how like/sometimes/new clothes come with those super long tags that make you wonder/how much information one possibly needs to know about a cotton shirt/as if you weren’t going to just chuck it in the dryer/anyway/and then like/you know how/you cut the tag off but the result is always a left-over stump/of a tag/and like, you can never cut it short enough/cause if you did, you would probably poke a hole/on your brand-new shirt, and that would mean/having to let it go/and you don’t ever let go, do you/so you don’t./And then, like/you just go on to live with the remainders of a tag

phantom reminder
sitting by your rib and fuck,
man, that shit pokes.
