2020-2021 Team
Introducing your 2020-20201 ESA Exec team (and some of our favourite memes) 🍰
President
Helena is going into her fifth year double majoring in Honours English and Psychology, she loves being in the ESA because she feels like she is helping build a community. A fun fact about Helena is that conjunctions are her most beloved class of words, and prepositions are her most despised.
Treasurer
Lidia is going into her fifth year majoring in Honours English Language and Literature. Her favorite part about being in the ESA is being useful to the UBC English community, and planning questions for trivia night. Two fun facts about Lidia are that her blood type is O+, and that she thinks a little maple syrup really livens up any tomato-baed peanut stew.
VP Operations
Katie is going into her third year studying English and minoring in music. Her favourite part about being in the ESA is the opportunity to collaborate on projects with such a creative group of people. If she could give her first year self any advice, it would be to stop buying so many blue chip cookies.
VP Marketing
Mimi is going into her fourth year majoring in Engish Literature and Language, and minoring in IR. Her favourite part about being in the ESA is being able to work with such an incredible team. If she could give her first year self any advice it would be to not take that 8am Econ class.
VP Events Programming
Colby is going into her third year majoring in Honours English Literature and minoring in Russian. Her favourite part about being in the ESA is being able to connect with other people over a shared passion for English. A fun fact about herself is that she has had two different three-leged cats, first Trinity and now Finnick.
English Honours Liaison
Alice is going into her third year majoring in Honours English Literature and minoring in French. Her favourite part about being in the ESA is the fact that she can meet new people with similar interests, if she could give her first year self any advice it would be to explore the professional and social opportunitiees on campus, and to go out…a bit more.
AUS Representative
Ria is going into her third year double majoring in Honours English and Psychology. As part of the ESA, Ria looks forward to connecting with Engkish majors and doing all sorts of cool things – academic or otherwise. A fun fact about RIa is that her full name is a palindrome.
