We’re Hiring: VP Social Programming

Do you like hosting fun events? Want to get more involved in the English department? Now is your chance!

In this role, your responsibility is to put on a minimum of one fun, social event each month. You will also be expected to attend executive meetings, keep track of attendance numbers at events, keep an organized schedule to communicate our plans with the English department, and clearly indicate the type of advertising you will need for your event.

• The hourly commitment per week would be around 5 hours, depending on if you are hosting an event that week or not!
• We try to create a schedule at the beginning of term to communicate with the English department, who also host their own events. Most events must be budgeted, assigned a designated location, and other planning complete about 1-2 weeks in advance.

This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to get involved in the department, especially for those interested in community building and student life. There will be plenty of opportunities to work alongside faculty, ESA executives, students, and even other clubs! We encourage creativity and will work as a team to make your ideas come to life. No experience is necessary and we encourage all year levels to apply.
