CALL FOR ACADEMIC SUBMISSIONS

The UBC English Students’ Association is welcoming submissions for the first undergraduate English students’ symposium. We aim to offer a unique opportunity to showcase exceptional work by English undergraduates in the fields of English language, literature, and literary theory alongside presentations by UBC English professors on their research. Presentations will be followed by questions and discussion.

Who can submit?
Submissions are open to all UBC undergraduate English students, regardless of year or specialization.

What can I submit?
We would love to see presentations derived from final papers, undergraduate theses, and any kind of original, interesting, or ongoing research!

Submissions guidelines and how to submit:

• Materials for submission:
  • 300-500 word abstract of project
  • brief presentation outline (approx. 10 min. for each presenter)
• Email your abstract and presentation outline as attachments in an email to english.ubc@gmail.com, along with any other questions!

Submission deadline: Feb 28th March 7th

Tentative symposium date: March 31st
